Shuttle Times: 10 a.m. sharp (2nd pickup is usually at 1:30 p.m.)

The Double Crown Session is designed for the rider who wants more of a challenge than the typical one-and-done rider. Double Crowners hit the best of the Darkside, immediately followed by the legendary steeps and gnar of the Frontside. Plan on riding from 10 a.m to 3:30 p.m.
Park at the Gabrielino Trailhead (AKA JPL Parking Lot) and take the 10 a.m. Single-Run Shuttle to the Mt. Wilson Observatory. Grab a snack at the world-famous Cosmic Cafe before jumping on the Rim Trail.
Sure, you have other choices for your run but we feel the Rim is your best experience for the Double Crown. Rim Trail to the Gabrielino to Chantry Flats to Tindalo Ave and W. Floral Arcadia. Please, do not dilly dally on the trail.
The shuttle will pick you up at 1:30 p.m. and take you to Eaton Saddle. Since there may be others on the run, make sure you are there early. We will not wait for you. Drop in on Mt. Lowe East, Middle Sam Merril, Sunset, and El Prieto to complete the session.
This session is all about preservation. You will need to preserve your bike and body to complete this event. Timing is everything. Don’t miss your connecting shuttle!
Your bike and the equipment required to keep it running. Standard mountain biking clothing and safety equipment. You will not be allowed on the shuttle without a helmet and a bear bell.
